Tina Naqvi-Rota is the CEO of Cameron Corporation; an Alberta-based, Real Estate Development Company.

The primary focus of Cameron Corporation is the development and management of commercial real estate projects, primarily, Grocery Anchored and Power Centre developments. Cameron Corporation’s most notable project is the 2.3 million square foot South Edmonton Common development, one of the largest open-air Power Centres in North America.

Cameron has been instrumental in bringing many first-time retailers to Edmonton, having developed the first Costco, first Home Depot, first Lowes, first Cabela’s, to name a few.

In addition, Cameron Corporation includes a land development division, “Cameron Communities Inc.”; a homebuilding division, “Cameron Homes”; and a multi-family division, “Cameron Lifestyles”. Cameron develops and holds its assets on behalf of itself and various joint venture partners, ranging from private businesses to Pension Funds and REITS.

During her career, Tina has been instrumental in all aspects of the development process in all of Camerons divisions, from the acquisition, planning, financing, leasing, engineering, design, construction and asset management.

Tina achieved her Civil Engineering degree in 1990, and her MBA in 1995, both from the University of Alberta. Tina completed her ICD.D Designation in June 2020.

Over the years, Tina has used her education, life experiences, and love of giving back to the community with numerous organizations and committees and boards, including:

  • Vice Chair for Norquest Board of Governors
  • Board Member of KV Capital Mortgage Fund
  • Alberta School of Business Dean’s Advisory Committee
  • Gala Committee Chair for Autism Edmonton
  • Former Board member of Compassion House Foundation
  • Various mentoring opportunities for University of Alberta female students, as well as for many industry-related organizations.

Tina has lived in and raised her three children (28 years, 25 years, and 21 years old) in Edmonton. With all her business activity, she maintains a huge commitment to family, including her son, who has high functioning autism. She is passionate to giving back to those in need of financial, educational and mentorship support: in particular to women, children, and immigrants.
