Replacing dirty fuels for a cleaner future

Thomas Thorkildsen, Chief Commercial Officer at Höegh LNG

"LNG or gas is one of the three carbon fuels in the world but it’s the smallest of the three. Oil is 29% of consumption, coal is 27% of consumption, while gas is only 24%. So LNG can help reduce emissions in the world by replacing the dirtier fuels and I think that is a very important task for the world, for LNG to replace the dirtier fuels and thereby reduce emissions. If you replace coal with LNG your reduce your carbon offset by 56% immediately."
