Dr. Peter Röttgen is managing director of Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET). On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK), state-owned DET markets and operates the state-initiated FSRUs in Brunsbüttel, Stade and Wilhelmshaven. Peter joined DET in December 2022 after the company was initiated by the BMWK. He has over 30 years of experience in the sector, having first worked for the Lower Saxony State Office for Mining, Energy and Geology before leading the technology and gas storage departments of E.On Gas and Storage and Uniper Energy Storage. From August 2017 until February 2019 Peter was Managing Director of the German Renewable Energy Association BEE. Last, he was a Member of the Management Board for Fortum Germany prior to joining DET.
