Dr. Sohbet Karbuz currently works at Mediterranean Organisation for Energy and Climate (OMEC) as director of its natural resources and energy security division. Before joining the OMEC, he was with the International Energy Agency in Paris. Previously, he held managerial and research positions at various institutions in Austria, Germany and Turkey. Mr Karbuz received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in industrial engineering from Istanbul Technical University, his PhD degree in econometrics and operations research from the Technical University of Vienna, and his Postgraduate Diploma in economics from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna.
