Dr. Thomas Hüwener, born in 1971, is the CEO of OGE and has been part of the company´s board of directors since 2013. He studied mechanical engineering with a focus on energy technology at Ruhr University Bochum and Texas A&M University. Beginning his career as a research associate in 1997, he took on various leadership roles at E.ON Ruhrgas and later OGE. Dr. Hüwener is active in international gas industry committees and has served as Vice President at the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW) since 2013
