Erik Rakhou is an independent advisor, moderator of podcasts & conferences, and an energy writer. His mission is to help energy world move to netzero, and to help build new energy businesses and partnerships across industrial ecosystems. As a management consultant, building on having seen over 100 energy transition projects globally in his time in BCG, Erik supports clients on the energy transition journey with a focus on energy infrastructure, hydrogen and interlink between power and gas systems. The journey often involves steps from moving a concept to validation, on to funding and consortia for execution. Through an ecosystem of senior advisors and consultancy firms, both smaller and larger assignments can be delivered. During his 5-year term (2016-2021) as alternate member of EU energy regulator, ACER Board of appeal and his consultancy experience, Erik has stepped across system silos and worked both on power and gas systems view. Erik co-hosts "Global Tales of Carbon Transition" podcast; he is an Editor and Co-author “Touching Hydrogen Future”, read in over 130 countries, over 10,000 times, and authored a handbook on European gas markets.
