Stefan Siegemund has been responsible for the Business Development of New Energies at VTG since May 2022.

He is responsible for the strategic market development of Hydrogen and Hydrogen derivates, CO2 and changing industrial transport goods. In addition to supporting the transformation processes of VTG's customers, Stefan is responsible for the creation of suitable market conditions at the interface to politics.

Before joining VTG, Mr Siegemund was more than 8 years Head of Alternative Energy Sources and Mobility at the German Energy Agency (dena).

He also spent several years managing projects at the interface between renewable energies and logistics in Ministries and in the Transport Logistics Research Group at the Technical University of Wildau.

VTG is the leading European asset and logistics company with a strong focus on rail. Besides leasing out rail freight wagons and tank containers, the Group also provides logistical services and integrated digital solutions. Its fleet comprises around 85,000 rail freight wagons – mostly tank cars, modular freight wagons, standard freight wagons and sliding-wall wagons – plus about 5,000 tank containers. The Group has years of experience, especially in transporting liquids and dangerous goods.
