Abigail Penzell is a partner, the General Counsel and the Chief Compliance Officer of Bienville Capital, a multi-strategy investment manager that invests opportunistically across both private and public markets. As GC/CCO, Abigail oversees all legal and compliance matters for the firm, including the structuring, formation and operation of all funds and investment vehicles, the diligencing and structuring of portfolio company investments, and compliance policies and procedures. Prior to Bienville, Abigail was an Investment Management Associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP, a Securities Enforcement and Litigation Associate at WilmerHale and an attorney in the Legal and Compliance Department of Bear Stearns/JPMorgan Chase.

Abigail holds a BA from Georgetown University, an MA from Columbia University and a JD from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
