A long-time business reporter, Erin Arvedlund covers personal finance and investing for outlets ranging from Pensions & Investments to The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Erin began her career as a reporter at Dow Jones newswires. She moved to Moscow, Russia, to write about business and emerging markets at the English-language daily newspaper, The Moscow Times. She then wrote for Barron's magazine to cover options, mutual funds and hedge funds. From 2003 to 2005 Erin reported on business and politics in the former Soviet Union for The New York Times. She also has Wall Street experience, having worked in the hedge
fund industry at Sanford C. Bernstein private bank at AllianceBernstein.
Her first book was “Too Good To Be True: The Rise and Fall of Bernie Madoff” (Penguin) and her most recent book "Open Secret" (Penguin) addressed the scandal surrounding the rigging of interest rates.
