Profile
Julian Morris is a Cayman-based economist and entrepreneur. As a Senior Scholar at the International Center for Law and Economics, he researches the relationship between finance, innovation, governance, and economic growth. His recent papers include studies on the adverse effects of capping interest rates, the development of standards for AI governance, and the problem of democratically deficient organizations.
In addition to his role at ICLE, Julian is a Senior Fellow at Reason Foundation and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He writes often for IFC Review on the role of tax neutral jurisdictions such as Cayman. And he is an advisor to, investor in, and director of several startups.
A strong proponent of voluntarism, Julian co-founded 345Robotics, a local non-profit that fosters creative and critical thinking through designing and building robots for participation in competitions.
