Robert McEwan is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of LuminArx Capital Management. Prior to joining LuminArx, he served as CFO of Nopetro, overseeing finance and accounting. Earlier, he was CFO of H.I.G. Capital’s credit platform, where he led finance, accounting, operations, valuation, and performance reporting across distressed credit and direct lending strategies.

Before H.I.G., Mr. McEwan was Managing Director and COO of Blackstone Alternative Asset Management’s special situations direct investing platform, where he built operational infrastructure, drove strategic growth initiatives, and managed day-to-day finance, accounting, operations, and valuations. He began his career at Ernst & Young, where he supervised audits and advised hedge funds, private equity firms, and other investment managers.

Mr. McEwan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from the University of Glasgow and a Master’s in Finance from the University of Strathclyde. He is a Chartered Accountant in Scotland and a CPA in New York
