Scott V. Beechert is Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel for Granby Capital Management, LLC, a single-family office located in Stamford, Connecticut. Prior to conversion to a family office, Scott was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Bennett Management Corporation. Scott has also served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for a number of hedge funds, including UBP Asset Management, Venor Capital and Murray Capital Management. Before joining the hedge fund industry, Mr. Beechert was in private practice, most recently with Milbank LLP, focusing on M&A and Corporate law. Scott is an adjunct professor of law at St. John’s University School of Law.
