Jesper Kjær is the Global Director for Public, Private Partnerships, StratOps, Global Medical Affairs at Novo Nordisk— Former Director of the Data Analytics Centre at the Danish Medicines Agency and co‑chair of the HMA/EMA Big Data Steering Group, with 20+ years’ experience in data management, analysis and visualization across academia, the pharmaceutical industry and public‑health organisations. Has has led the development of clinical and public‑health IT systems for the World Health Organization and the University Hospital of Copenhagen, supported HIV observational research that contributed to early global data and data‑management standards, built risk‑based monitoring IT at Novo Nordisk, and directed activities within EU Framework Programmes, TransCelerate Biopharma and HL7. He is currently focused on establishing patient‑level analysis of randomized controlled trials and real‑world data to support regulatory decision‑making.
