Sheila Elz is Senior Regulatory Information Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim and a passionate advocate for data-driven innovation in life sciences. She leads global initiatives in regulatory data quality and the authorship and implementation of ISO IDMP standards, including alignment with the IDMP Ontology. Sheila co-initiated the IDMP Ontology Project under the Pistoia Alliance, advancing FAIR data and interoperability across industry and regulators. Originally from Michigan and based in Germany, she brings experience from the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) and Bayer AG Pharmaceuticals, combining scientific training in toxicology and statistical analysis, master data management, and a strong commitment to collaboration and digital transformation.
