Greenbuild's Mandatory Exhibitor Green Guidelines (GMEGG)
At Greenbuild, sustainability isn’t just a theme — it’s part of everything we do, including how we exhibit. That’s where the Greenbuild Mandatory Exhibitor Greening Guidelines (GMEGG) come in. As an exhibitor, you play a key role in helping us reduce the event’s environmental impact. Before coming onsite please complete an important short survey covering areas such as booth materials, shipping, lighting, and transportation, 10% of exhibitors will be randomly selected to be audited onsite.
Exhibitors impact the success of our sustainability efforts on-site and exhibitors who meet all GMEGG requirements are considered for the Exemplary Performance Booth Award and Most Innovative Booth Award - an excellent way to gain visibility to your organization’s sustainable practices and drive traffic to your booth. With each exhibiting company committing to sustainable exhibiting practices and making small changes to the way they exhibit, it adds up to a massive impact.
Before completing the GMEGG survey, take the USGBC exhibitor training module—it’s highly beneficial for first-time participants! Finish the module with your team and earn 2 extra points on your GMEGG survey! To receive CEU credit and a completion certificate, create an account on usgbc.org. If you complete the USGBC exhibitor training module, you will also be in a chance to win 2 x Conference Passes for Greenbuild 2026!
New this year! This year the GMEGG survey will encompasses Better Stands. As an Informa event, Greenbuild also conducts a Better Stands audit, uniting the industry to adopt reusable stands, ensuring smarter, safer and more sustainable solutions globally. At the core of Better Stands is a 10-point framework which assesses stand reusability, giving exhibitors and their contractor a rating of Single use, Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
