Jan Carlo Pereras is a member of the IASB technical team. He is the staff lead of the IFRS 19 Subsidiaries without Public Accountability: Disclosure project which was issued by the IASB on May 2024. More recently, he project managed the issuance of the third edition of the IFRS for SMEs Accounting Standard and is currently the project manager of the Standard's post-issuance activities.
Carlo enjoys exploring different, occasionally conflicting, ideas and working to achieve agreement on recommendations to the IASB with his team. He finds the teamwork and intellectual challenge interesting and rewarding.
