IFRS Foundation Conference
Monday 24 & Tuesday 25 June 2024
Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower BridgeLondon, UK

Welcome

Join us at the IFRS Foundation Conference 2024, London

The IFRS Foundation Conference in London on 24-25 June 2024 promises to be a truly informative and stimulating event, offering overviews of and deep-dives into the latest developments in standards for reporting to capital markets globally.

Better information leads to better decisions – investors need reliable, transparent and globally comparable information about companies to make better investment decisions. The IFRS Foundation’s mission is to develop IFRS Standards that bring transparency, accountability and efficiency to capital markets around the world.

The conference will give you the latest information about key developments in standard-setting for accounting and sustainability disclosures from the leadership of the Foundation’s two standard-setting boards, the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB): chairs Andreas Barckow and Emmanuel Faber and vice-chairs Linda Mezon-Hutter and Sue Lloyd, as well as technical staff on key projects.

The IASB will have issued a new IFRS Accounting Standard by the time this conference arrives. IFRS 18 will improve companies’ financial performance reporting. At the IFRS Foundation Conference, delegates can equip themselves with key information about this new Standard and ask technical staff and board members any burning questions.

The ISSB is focusing on supporting adoption and implementation of its first two IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards. Technical staff will discuss implementation guidance to support companies applying the Standards to report on their sustainability-related risks and opportunities. Emmanuel Faber and the ISSB team will also look ahead to the next priorities for the ISSB.

Delegates will also gain insight into how IFRS Accounting Standards and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards are connected and how the IASB and ISSB are connected in their work.

The conference will also provide ample opportunities to network with peers and IFRS Foundation staff both in person or online too.

We look forward to seeing you at the IFRS Foundation Conference on Monday 24–Tuesday 25 June at the Leonardo Royal Hotel London Tower Bridge, or online. Follow #IFRSConference24 on the days of the conference, for live updates.

With best regards,

Andrea Pryde,

Acting Managing Director/Executive Operations Director, IFRS Foundation.
