Himani Phadke is ISSB Executive Technical Director at the IFRS Foundation. In this role, she guides the technical staff’s standard-setting activities, including enhancements to the SASB standards, nature-related research as well as educational content.

Himani’s career spans leadership roles in different areas of sustainability, including as Research Director and Interim Head of Standards at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB). Himani was previously Head of ESG Investment Integration at Allspring Global Investments, formerly known as Wells Fargo Asset Management. There she managed a team of strategists and led strategic sustainability initiatives across Allspring, including enhancing ESG integration for better investment decision-making, sustainability education and training, product development, and establishing analytical sustainability frameworks. At SASB, Himani managed and mentored the research team in identifying disclosure topics and building the evidence basis across all SASB industry standards, including collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders. After SASB, Himani led ESG data and content at a fintech ESG data provider, Truvalue Labs. She also has a background in financial consulting and policymaking at the UK Treasury, and has a Masters in Development Economics from Oxford University and a Masters in International Energy and Environmental Policy from Stanford University.
