Nicola leads the IFRS technical Desk in EY Japan and is a member of EY’s Global IFRS Policy Committee, where EY’s views on IFRS interpretations are concluded. She joined EY London in 1991 in audit, transferring to EY Tokyo in 2002. She has been part of audit and accounting advisory teams for IFRS, Japanese Gaap and UK Gaap in a variety of industries such as trading house, automotive, advertising, wholesalers, retail, and oil & gas.
Nicola is a member of the ASBJ Technical Committee on IFRS Implementation issues in Japan and she also teaches classes on IFRS at two Japanese Universities. She has an honours degree in Business Management from the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales. She also holds level one of the Japanese Proficiency Examination. She is an avid reader and runner.
