Patrick Bartlett has more than 35 years’ experience in financial reporting and audit. For 6 years to 2023 he was Group Financial Controller for Aberdeen Group plc (formerly called Standard Life Aberdeen plc), a large UK listed financial services group. As well as leading the production of the Group’s external results, Patrick was responsible for the accounts of circa 70 UK subsidiary entities and has extensive experience of implementing and applying the UK reduced-disclosure standard FRS 101.
Patrick is currently a member of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) UK GAAP Technical Advisory Group, who provide expert advice to the FRC on accounting and corporate reporting matters. He is also a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Audit Scotland, and a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of Queen Margaret University.
