Catherine Awong is a Managing Director and Co-Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) within TD Securities' Debt Capital Markets Origination team. With over two decades of experience advising financial institutions, she leads the origination and execution of debt financing solutions across the capital structure for the firm's institutional clients. Throughout her career, Catherine has successfully guided clients through billions of dollars in debt, capital, and liability management transactions across global markets.

Prior to joining TD Securities, Catherine spent nine years at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), playing a pivotal role in building a leading FIG DCM franchise and expanding the firm's market presence within the sector. She began her career with the Debt Capital Markets Group at Deutsche Bank.

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Catherine graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys spending her free time travelling with her husband and two children.
