Profile
Brandon Hammond is Director of Community Asset Management at Invitation Homes, where he oversees the company's Florida build-to-rent portfolio — 39 communities across five Florida markets — partnering across leasing, marketing, revenue management, and capital planning to drive occupancy, NOI performance, and long-term asset value. He also serves on Invitation Homes' AI Center of Excellence, helping shape how the company applies AI and automation across its operating platform.
Brandon brings more than 20 years of P&L and operational leadership across single-family rental, build-to-rent, multifamily, and student housing. At Progress Residential, he built and led a centralized renovation and turn coordination team, directing 160+ team members who scheduled and managed over 25,000 projects annually, cutting project cycle times in half and delivering $8M in cost savings. As Area VP at B.HOM Student Living, he held full P&L responsibility for for a portfolio of 8,000+ beds, across 13 states, driving occupancy to record levels, with 12.3% annual rent growth. His career spans nearly every operating model in residential real estate — third-party and owner-managed, scattered-site and purpose-built, stabilized and lease-up, institutional and small business — giving him a rare cross-sector view of how operational strategy translates into portfolio performance.
Brandon holds a B.S. in Business Management from NC State University and maintains an active North Carolina Real Estate Broker's License. He is a graduate of the National Apartment Association's Leadership Lyceum and a past Chair of the NAA GIVES Governance Committee. Brandon lives in Fayetteville, NC, with his wife, Jennifer, and their two daughters.
