Brian Mees is the Founder and CEO of Hybrilux, a solar lighting manufacturer delivering complete, end-to-end solutions for Build-to-Rent (BTR), commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects.

Brian holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Glasgow and began his career with BP, working on major offshore energy projects in the Gulf of Mexico. After more than a decade in engineering and energy, he transitioned into entrepreneurship, building businesses focused on engineering, infrastructure, and innovative technologies.

Today, Brian leads Hybrilux’s growth and its mission to make solar lighting a practical, scalable, and economically compelling alternative to traditional electrical infrastructure. By combining design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, smart controls, monitoring, and ongoing service, Hybrilux provides clients with a complete solution that can reduce upfront infrastructure costs, eliminate trenching and electrical distribution, accelerate construction schedules, and lower long-term operating costs.

Brian’s perspective combines an engineer’s technical mindset with an entrepreneur’s commercial approach, focused on using smarter infrastructure to deliver measurable value for developers and communities.
