Daniel Perez
Vice President of Real Estate Development - National at Silverado Senior Living
Speaker

Profile

Daniel G. Perez brings more than 30 years of international experience in architecture, real estate development, and construction management to his role as Vice President of Real Estate Development at Silverado. An experienced architect, AIA member (American Institute of Architects), and credentialed developer with a career spanning three continents, Daniel leads capital projects from site acquisition and entitlement through design, construction, and post-occupancy, with deep specialization in senior living, healthcare, higher education, government/federal, master-planned communities, and mixed-use development.

Born and trained in Colombia, with a five-year professional architecture degree from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, Daniel built the first chapter of his career across major U.S. design and engineering firms — Leo A Daly, DLR Group, Jacobs/Carter & Burgess, and Fluor Daniel — before founding PerezMcGee International Architecture, LLC (PMI) in 2007 with partner Rick McGee. PMI has since maintained an active, concurrent advisory practice with a presence spanning Scottsdale, Arizona; Medellín, Colombia; the Bajío region of México; London, The UK (where lived for seberal years); and Spain — a footprint that reflects Daniel's fluency in navigating US, Latin American, and European markets, codes, and cultures. Bilingual in English and Spanish, he has built his career at the intersection of these three regions, bringing a genuinely cross-cultural lens to development strategy, design excellence, and applied technology in the built environment.

Prior to joining Silverado, Daniel served as Vice President of Real Estate Development and Construction at Senior Resource Group (SRG), a luxury senior living developer, where he led development, Construction and post-occupancy closeout for Maravilla Scottsdale Phase III. He previously held Vice President roles at IDM Companies, where he guided the delivery of 12 master-planned communities (inclusive of BFR), and at Urban Communities LLC. His foundational project portfolio includes the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, TGen Biomedical Research Facilities, the ARD Building and Biochemistry Labs at Northern Arizona University, ASU Biochemistry Laboratories, and science facilities for the Maricopa County Community College District, Cochise College, and Yavapai College. His international LEED-certified portfolio spans a Platinum Plus tower in Doha, projects in London and Dublin Bay, a military academy master plan in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and work throughout Spain.

Daniel holds an MBA and an MS in Construction Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University and is currently a Doctor of Professional Practice (DPP) candidate in Global Leadership and Management at Thunderbird/ASU. He is an experienced architect and AIA member (American Institute of Architects), a LEED Accredited Professional.

Daniel has been named AIA Arizona Architect of the Year and recognized as a Marquis Who's Who in America-Top Executive. He is a frequent industry speaker, having presented at Bisnow Phoenix (June 2025 and March 2026) and as an invited speaker at the IMN Build-to-Rent Fall Pre-Conference Workshop in Dallas (September 2026), where he addressed AI-driven efficiency across the development lifecycle. He is also a featured keynote speaker at La Feria de Diseño Medellín (September 2026), presenting on agentic AI and digital twins in senior living development. His work and insights have been featured in Senior Living News and Bisnow.

At Silverado, Daniel brings this rare combination of design pedigree, development leadership and construction, and cross-border cultural fluency to advancing the company's next generation of senior living memory care communities.
