Eric Cooper serves as Senior Vice President of Construction at Arixa Capital. He leads Arixa’s construction function, overseeing construction underwriting, funds control, and risk management across Arixa’s $2.5B+ portfolio. His leadership has helped Arixa scale to $8B+ in loan originations with strong credit performance and high client satisfaction.

Eric developed Arixa’s internal fund control and construction underwriting programs and oversees a team of draw specialists and construction underwriters. He also led the creation of a scalable, digital draw management platform to help track clients’ budgets, timelines, and funding requests, giving borrowers greater transparency while protecting investor capital. As a result of his efforts, Arixa has financed over 15,000 housing units nationwide, helping expand housing supply in high demand markets.

Prior to joining Arixa, Eric served as Vice President of Construction Operations at Genesis Capital, where he built a nationwide residential construction underwriting program and managed the in-house funds control team. Previously, he was an onsite project manager for luxury single family developments for over 10 years, equipping him with a unique perspective on construction processes, costs, and risks. Eric has leveraged this background to build a best-in-class construction risk management program at Arixa Capital.

Eric holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from California State University, Northridge.
