Max Lyle is the Director of the Build-to-Rent Insurance Program at ALKEME Insurance, a Top 25 U.S. brokerage, where he leads one of the largest BTR-dedicated insurance programs in the country. Operating nationwide, he works across the full build-to-rent lifecycle, from property and catastrophe to builder's risk, casualty and excess liability, and the construction-to-operations handoff, partnering with the developers, operators, and institutional capital active in the sector.

His approach reframes insurance from a line item on the P&L to a variable in the capital stack. The emphasis is on converting the volatility that complicates BTR underwriting (wind, hail, wildfire, flood, construction delay, habitational liability, deductible swings) into modeled, priced risk, and on bringing insurance into a deal early, when it can still shape NOI, debt proceeds, and DSCR rather than surface as a late surprise.
