Gauhar Turmuhambetova, PhD, Managing Director, is a member of the Aladdin Financial Engineering Group at BlackRock, and is the Global Head of Securitized Product, Credit, and Derivatives Modeling. She leads the global team of quantitative modelers responsible for the development and implementation of prepayment and credit models for US and non-US residential and non-residential mortgages, and other consumer and public/private corporate credit assets. The team is also responsible for development and implementation of rates, FX, inflation, and equity derivative models.

Previously Gauhar was at Centerbridge Partners as a senior member of a team investing in global consumer credit assets and originating platforms.

Gauhar earned MS degree in Mathematics from the Moscow State University. She earned PhD in Economics degree from the University of Chicago.
