Charles Tourtellotte is Founder and CEO of LaTerra Development, a leading real estate investment management and development company with a specific focus on Multifamily and Self-Storage assets. Its current portfolio includes more than 3,000 residential units and over 1.5M square feet of Self Storage properties with combined portfolio value at completion currently estimated to exceed $3 billion. LaTerra is headquartered in Marina Del Rey, California and has more than $1B in committed equity across a global investor network that includes the US, Canada, and Australia.
Mr. Tourtellotte has over 40 years of proven multifamily and commercial real estate experience. Today, he guides and oversees LaTerra’s growth and investment strategies and is actively involved in product development and product design. Mr. Tourtellotte’s experience includes presiding as manager of Western U.S. acquisitions for real estate investment manager Robert McNeill Corporation. He later served as Senior Vice President of fund manager Consolidated Capital, where together with his team, Mr. Tourtellotte acquired more than 12,000 multifamily units and 10,000,000 square feet of commercial and industrial properties in major markets throughout the U.S.
In January 2025 Mr. Tourtellotte was featured on the CNBC TV business show Money Movers. He has also been featured on the NBC Today Show, CNN/FN, in The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. In both 2024 and 2025, Mr. Tourtellotte was honored by The Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the “Los Angeles 500 Most Influential People”. His additional experience includes having founded Metro Golf (MGLF), which he took public as a NASDAQ listed IPO.
