Joanne LucasVP of Asset Management at CCI InvestSpeaker
Profile
Joanne Lucas is an institutional real estate executive with nearly two decades of hands-on asset management experience across multifamily, senior housing, affordable housing, and mixed-use portfolios. Her career has been defined by a single recurring mandate: arrive at a complex portfolio, diagnose where performance and strategy have come apart, and build the systems to reconnect them.
She currently serves as Vice President of Asset Management at CCI, a private family office, where she was recruited to transform informal ownership into an institutional-grade platform — and is now serving as divestment lead on a ~$1 billion multi-state portfolio disposition spanning 65 assets across 12 tranches.
Prior roles include Senior Manager at Mapletree Investments, where her divestment preparation work culminated in a successful $1 billion portfolio sale; Director of Asset Management at Greystar, where she co-architected a $500 million active adult investment fund alongside institutional investors including The Carlyle Group, GIC, and Pacific Life; and senior asset management positions at Jamboree Housing Corporation and Highridge Costa Investors, where she developed deep LIHTC structured finance expertise including complex GP buyout negotiations on underperforming tax credit assets. Her career is anchored by five years as a Director at HealthPeak (HCP, Inc.), with fiduciary oversight of a $2 billion REIT-owned senior housing portfolio spanning 150 properties and 16,000+ units.
Ms. Lucas holds an MBA and BA from UC Irvine's Paul Merage School of Business and is a two-time President of CREW Orange County (2022 and 2024).
