Profile

Paul Schon – Born in Mexico City, Paul Schon immigrated with his family to La Jolla, California, at the age of 14. He attended the University of California, Davis, before transferring to the University of California, San Diego, where he earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees.

Paul began his real estate career as a licensed multifamily broker with Marcus & Millichap in the firm’s Los Angeles office. After building a successful brokerage career, he transitioned into real estate investing and development. In 2009, he partnered with Artem Tepler to form Schon Tepler Partners.

He later founded Schon Development Group (SDG), a fully integrated real estate development and investment platform focused on creating and preserving long-term value for its equity partners. SDG’s vertically integrated operations include development, property management through ST Living, and construction through ST Builders, allowing for disciplined execution across every phase of the investment lifecycle.

Beyond real estate, Paul previously served as a board member of FDIC-insured Commerce Bank of Temecula Valley, which merged with Nano Banc in 2018. He is a member of YPO (Young Presidents’ Organization) and the Real Estate and Construction Division of the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles. Paul has also served as a guest lecturer at UCLA and USC in their real estate development programs.

Outside of business, Paul is passionate about sports. He was a Division I wrestler at UC Davis and holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
