REHA is led by David Howard, Principal and Founder of Real Estate & Housing Advisors (REHA), a public affairs firm providing strategic intelligence and guidance to real estate and housing companies seeking to assess, understand, and respond to issues of political and media risk and opportunity. REHA works with real estate and housing owners, operators, investors, and builders on the critical issues that have come to define how the industry is perceived and scrutinized, by policymakers, reporters, and other important stakeholders.

Prior to founding REHA, David served for six years as CEO of the National Rental Home Council (NRHC), the nonprofit organization representing the interests of the single-family rental housing industry. As NRHC's first CEO, David was instrumental in developing and delivering the single-family rental housing industry's public affairs agenda, establishing a presence for the organization and industry on Capitol Hill and in state houses and city halls across the country. During his time at NRHC, David frequently testified on behalf of the industry in legislative and regulatory hearings, and was regularly featured in the mainstream and trade press, to include the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNBC, NBC Nightly News, and other media outlets.

David is a frequent speaker and author on a range of real estate and housing issues, to include single-family and multifamily rental housing; build-to-rent development and investment; housing affordability; corporate operating and business practice; and institutional ownership.

David has also served in executive roles at the Home Builders Institute, the workforce development affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders; the Urban Land Institute (ULI), an international research and policy organization supporting sustainable urban development and responsible land use practice; and the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (Nareit), the trade association representing the REIT and publicly traded real estate industry.
