Frank Meijer joined Aegon Asset Management in 2005. Frank is Global Head of Alternative Fixed Income & Structured Finance. His team focusses on ABS and all investments in Private Markets / Direct Lending, such as mortgage loans, insurance wrapped loans, Impact loans with guarantees, Private Placements, and Direct SME lending. His team currently manages about EUR65bn, mostly on behalf of external clients, such as insurance companies and pension funds. Frank is also a permanent guest lecturer at the Amsterdam VU University and member of the ALCO of Aegon Bank. Prior to his current role, he was also responsible for the Quants team and has set up structured credit investments. Before joining Aegon Asset Management, Frank worked in the corporate credit risk modelling team of ABN AMRO. Frank holds an MSc degree in Physics (cum laude) from University of Groningen and a PhD degree in Physics from Delft University of Technology.
