Hortense Bioy, CFA, is director of Passive Funds Research within the Morningstar Manager Research team in Europe. Based in London, she is responsible for providing independent research on European-domiciled passive funds ranging from ETFs and other exchange-traded products to traditional index funds. Bioy joined Morningstar in 2010 from Bloomberg, where she was a financial journalist. She began her career as an M&A analyst at Société Générale in Hong Kong.
