Jan-Marc has extensive financial markets and banking experience in investment banking and wealth management. Performing a variety of significant leadership, sales, research and product functions, covering all dimensions of wealth management, has helped him gain an in-depth perspective of the industry. In addition, Jan-Marc has acquired broad international experience with roles and responsibilities across countries, regions and on a global level.

Currently, Jan-Marc holds Group management responsibility for Wealth Products & Services and Wealth Insights. In this role, Jan-Marc ensures the development and management of the Wealth product shelf, financial planning, Research & Insights, investment products and product governance. Jan-Marc is also responsible for the evolution of the Wealth advisory process and the propositional development of D2C/Digital customer journeys.

Prior to joining HSBC in 2012, Jan-Marc worked for UBS for 22 years and was a Managing Director with roles in Discretionary Portfolio Management, Research & Advisory, Investment Products & Services, Trading/Debt Capital Markets and COO of the Global Financial Intermediaries business.

Jan-Marc holds a B.S. in Economics Business from HWV Hoehere, Wirtschafts & Verwaltungsschule Zurich (ZHAW – Zurich School of Management and Law) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Jan-Marc has also undertaken postgraduate education at The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania.
