Nicolas is a seasoned finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the investment management industry. Currently serving as the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at Candriam, Nicolas Forest is responsible for overseeing the firm's investment strategy and managing a team of more than 200 investment professionals.

Before becoming Chief Investment Officer in 2023, Nicolas has been the Global Head of Fixed Income at Candriam for 10 years. In this role he oversaw the company's global fixed income platform , strengthened credit franchise, developed Absolute return and managed a range of global portfolios.

Nicolas Forest started his career as Assistant Structured Products Manager at CDC-Ixis in 2003, before joining Candriam in 2004 as Money Market Fund Manager. In 2008, he was appointed Head of Rates Strategy. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Nicolas is an active member of the investment community and has been a frequent speaker at industry events and conferences.

Nicolas holds a Master’s degrees in Economics and finance as well as a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, both from the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is lecturer in fixed income at the University of Paris Dauphine.
