Rachel Thornton is a Senior Vice President within Global Product Management at Northern Trust, based in Dublin. She is responsible for strategy and capability development across European semi liquid funds, money market funds, supporting complex, regulated fund servicing across Europe.

Rachel is a recognised Money Market Fund expert and Chair of the Irish Funds Money Market Fund Working Group, as well as a member of EFAMA’s Money Market Fund Taskforce, with regular engagement across asset managers, industry bodies, and European regulators.

She joined Northern Trust in 2011 and has over 25 years’ experience spanning asset servicing, fund administration, product risk, and large scale transformation. Rachel holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin, graduating with first class honors.
