Robert is head of the EMEA Alternative Capital Markets Group (ACM) within Asset & Wealth Management. ACM is responsible for sourcing, creating, marketing and providing ongoing investor relations for the alternative investments offered by the firm. These include private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, mezzanine funds, opportunistic funds, co-invest opportunities and private placements. Previously, Robert was a portfolio manager within the Alternative Investment & Manager Selection (AIMS) Group in London. He joined Goldman Sachs in 2007 and was named managing director in 2011 and partner in 2022. Prior to joining the firm, Robert worked for HSBC, where he focused on hedge fund investing within their manager selection business. Robert earned an MSci (Hons) in Chemistry and Molecular Physics from Nottingham University in 2001. He is a CFA charterholder.
