Spencer joined SS&C Global Investor and Distribution Solutions in July 2020 and had responsibility for client management across the International business. Subsequently Spencer also took over as CEO of the UK Platform business (Hubwise) as the SMF1, growing the business 37% pa. Since March 2026 Spencer was appointed as the Head of Europe, which entailed being CEO, SS&C Financial Services International & Europe. Spencer’s focus is on leading the business strategy and governance across the region and across the three key segments: asset management, wealth management and insurance. Spencer joined SS&C from JP Morgan where for 14 years he led the Sales and Relationship Management for Asset Manager clients within the Custody & Fund Service division. Prior to JP Morgan, Spencer spent three years at Deutsche Bank leading the Client Management within the Investment Bank’s post trade activities and prior to that spent nine years at Northern Trust. Spencer is part of the Global Executive Management team for GIDS, this role holds end-to-end responsibility for the UK, Ireland and Luxembourg and the associated risk and legal entities. Spencer has responsibility for driving growth, managing client relationships and ensuring regulatory compliance. He is leading a business which currently generates revenues of circa $660 million and has 3,500 people Spencer holds a BA (Hons) Financial Services, Investment Management Certificate.
