This year, we’re proud to support Associação Salvador as the chosen charity of LSX Europe, helping advance inclusion and equal opportunities for people with motor disabilities in Portugal.
About Associação Salvador
Associação Salvador is a Portuguese non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with motor disabilities and promoting a more inclusive society.
Founded by Salvador Mendes de Almeida after a car accident that left him tetraplegic, the association was created from the belief that a disability should never prevent someone from living a full, active and independent life.
Through a wide range of programs, Associação Salvador works to remove barriers and create opportunities in areas such as employment, accessibility, sports, social inclusion and personal autonomy.
Every year, the organization supports hundreds of people with motor disabilities across Portugal by providing practical solutions that help them live with greater independence, dignity and participation in society.
At the same time, the association works to raise awareness and promote change so that cities, companies and communities become more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Case we are currently supporting
Mafalda is a joyful 5-year-old girl with a contagious smile.
She has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and while she faces some challenges, her family supports her with incredible love and resilience.
🏠 Until now, they had never asked for help. But as Mafalda grows, the family needed to adapt their home to better meet her needs.
They have already managed to pay for part of the renovation, but they still need support to cover the remaining costs. Together, we believe we can help ensure this work is completed so the family can focus on what truly matters — Mafalda’s wellbeing and happiness.
