Efthimios is Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at Middlesex University. He has published his research in top academic journals, such as the Academy of Management Review, and presented in international conferences. He has taught strategy and management-related modules for several universities in the UK, Greece, Ireland and Russia.

He is currently the Director of Spiral Maritime Services, a boutique crew management agency in The Philippines
