Dave Tawes is a Regional Inspector General in the Office of Evaluation and Inspections, a component within the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). OEI conducts national evaluations that focus on the prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse in programs administered by HHS. Dave has been with OIG for almost 30 years and has been a leader in efforts to ensure government healthcare programs such as Medicare and Medicaid pay appropriately for prescription drugs.
