Karyn Schwartz is a Senior Vice President of Policy and Research at PhRMA, providing strategic analysis of Medicare, the 340B program and the Inflation Reduction Act. Previously, she contributed extensive research on hospital pricing as a Senior Fellow at the Kaiser Family Foundation. She has been widely quoted in the media, and her research has been featured in The New York Times and other major news outlets. Earlier in her career, she was a health editor for the PBS NewsHour. She holds an MPH from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and a BA from Brown University.
