Denver Faulk, PhD, is a biomedical engineer and medical device development leader with deep expertise in biocompatibility, toxicological risk assessment, and patient safety. He currently serves as Director of Biocompatibility for Philips Sleep and Respiratory Care, leading a multidisciplinary global team responsible for material safety assessments, biological evaluations, and regulatory strategy across a diverse device portfolio. His work emphasizes efficient, risk-based collaboration with third-party testing laboratories to support reliable testing and streamlined regulatory submissions. Dr. Faulk earned his PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Pittsburgh and previously contributed to cardiovascular and artificial organ device development. He is also an adjunct lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University, where he teaches Medical Device Innovation and Realization.
