Tom Kokhuis works at the Clinical and Medical Affairs department of the Image Guided Therapy (IGT) division of Philips. In his role as clinical development scientist, he is responsible for the clinical evaluation of interventional X-ray systems and medical device software. The recent advances in AI sparked his interest in the application of AI in the literature review process. Tom holds a MSc in Biophysics from the Radboud University in Nijmegen (Netherlands) and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam (Netherlands). He is also a member of the standardization committee IEC TC62/ahG10, developing contributions to ISO18969 on Clinical Evaluation of Medical Devices.
