Derrick Neeposh

Mr. Derrick Neeposh is the Chairman of the Board of Compensation and the President of the Cree Regional Economic Enterprises Company Inc. (CREECO), Gestion ADC and the Quality Inn & Suites Val-d’Or.

Mr. Neeposh is from the Cree First Nation of Waswanipi and was the Director General of Mishtuk Corporation from November 2007 to December 2018. Prior to this, Derrick was involved in a variety of positions in his home community. These positions included Local Environment Administrator, Forest Authority General Manager and President of the Waswanipi Cree Model Forest.

Derrick brings over 20 years of experience in business and administration to the companies and has been part of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of CREECO and its subsidiaries since December 2016. Derrick is also the official representative of CREECO to the Board of Directors of Eeyou Power and has been involved in exploring the opportunities available for sustainable energy in Eeyou Istchee.
