Profile
Dr Chris Patsiouras is Head of the Shipping School at Mediterranean College and an experienced academic specialising in maritime management, shipping strategy and marketing. With over a decade of teaching and leadership experience in higher education, he has held senior academic positions including Dean of the Maritime Academy and Programme Leader for Shipping and Maritime Studies at Metropolitan College in Piraeus.
Alongside his leadership roles, Dr Patsiouras has lectured at leading Greek universities, including the Athens University of Economics and Business, the University of Piraeus and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, delivering postgraduate and undergraduate modules in strategic management, shipping management, marketing and organisational change.
He holds a PhD in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Shipping Marketing at the Athens University of Economics and Business. His research has been published in internationally recognised journals, including *Maritime Policy & Management* and the *International Journal of Quality and Service Sciences*, with a particular focus on shipping strategy, stakeholder management, service quality and sustainable competitive advantage in the maritime sector.
