Partnering top tips for service providers

Get the most out of partneringONE. With our advice for service providers you can perfect your meeting requests, target the companies most likely to respond, and prioritize your outreach.

1. Send only one request per company

All delegates attached to that company will see the same request, and they will decide who is best to respond.

2. Personalize your message

Each request should start with a customized message. Think about why the company would want to meet with you, how can you help them achieve their goals, and do you have any history meeting with or working with that company. The subject line for your meeting request should also be relevant to the company you want to meet.

3. Keep it brief

Your message should be short and focused on the benefits of meeting and how your goals are aligned. Make sure your company profile is complete with details of your experience, services, history, and partnering goals so the other company can find out more about you if they wish.

4. Read the other company's profile

Attendees expect that you have read their company profile before you reach out. Prove this to them by referring to what you have read and why your objectives for the event are aligned.

5. Only send requests to companies with published profiles

Attendees without a published profile are unlikely to have logged into the partnering system and so you won't get a timely response. There is also no profile for you to refer to in your meeting request and you won't know if your objectives for the event are aligned.

6. Prioritize your outreach

Focus on your top priority companies first when sending meeting requests. These should be the companies where your alignment of goals is the strongest. Use tags to create a shortlist before you start sending requests.

Don't simply work through the company list alphabetically. This can be seen as spamming and won't get the results you want. With only 150 meeting requests available you might miss out on meeting the perfect match further down the list.

7. Be patient

Give the other party time to review all their messages before they respond. Some companies receive large numbers of messages so it may take them some time to get back to you.

Don't cancel requests to free up space to send more. Why? Both the request and the cancellation trigger notifications to the other party which clogs up their inbox and is seen as rude. Plus they might want to meet with you but haven't had a chance to reply yet, so you might miss out.

8. Follow up ahead of the event

Shortly before the event, you can use the reply button on your outgoing pending meeting requests to follow up and ask again if the other company has time to meet. If you have additional information on why your goals align include this in your reply.
