John Kelly is Chair of Barnes & Thornburg’s Healthcare Department and Industry Practice, and a former federal healthcare fraud prosecutor and supervisor. John advises and defends healthcare and life sciences companies in government investigations, criminal prosecutions and civil litigation involving health care fraud and abuse issues, including the False Claims Act, AKS and Stark Law, FDCA, CSA, FCPA, and other regulatory and compliance issues. John serves as outside compliance and investigations counsel for clients including those subject to a corporate integrity agreement. He leads internal investigations and works with clients/reportable events committees to determine if reporting is necessary.
