Katherine Matos is currently Associate General Counsel at Definium Therapeutics, a late-stage clinical biopharmaceutical company developing a new generation of therapeutics intended to address underlying causes of psychiatric and neurological disorders. Katherine began her career at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, where she represented the agency in multi-district litigation, monitored Corporate Integrity Agreements, and was lead author of “Practical Guidance for Health Care Governing Boards on Compliance Oversight.” Katherine’s practice has expanded to include compliance program design, investigations, commercial legal, privacy law, and intellectual property. Katherine holds a CIPP/US certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
