Melanie is an accomplished lawyer and compliance professional with two decades of experience at Daiichi Sankyo, where she currently serves as Vice President and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for both Daiichi Sankyo Inc. and American Regent, Inc. Over her 20-year tenure, she has held a wide range of roles across the organization, including positions in legal, finance, marketing, and managed markets, giving her a deep, enterprise-wide perspective on the business. In 2012, she joined the compliance function, where she has since played a critical leadership role in advancing ethical standards, regulatory compliance, and a strong culture of integrity across the organization.

Prior to joining Daiichi Sankyo, Melanie practiced law at the New Jersey office of K&L Gates, where she focused on commercial litigation and served as the Director of Risk Management for a hospital client. Outside of her professional life, Melanie is the proud mother of two teenage sons—a role that has made her an enthusiastic superfan of football, baseball, and basketball. When she is not working, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines, she enjoys teaching fitness classes, traveling, and spending time in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
